GOP carbon tax, travel ban winner, Eco-trashers, leftist racism and the Muslim Brotherhood

After an election in which they do well, I always wonder when the “stupid party” will reemerge.  Wonder no more:
“A group of prominent Republicans and business leaders pitched a tax on carbon dioxide to top White House aides Wednesday, selling the plan as an economic win that could drive job growth and yield environmental dividends too… ‘This is not a climate proposal; it’s a tax proposal,’ said Thomas Pyle, head of the free-market advocacy group American Energy Alliance. ‘There’s no need to trade Obama’s climate regulations for a carbon tax. Donald Trump has already promised to undo them.'”
Sigh. We heard all during the Trump run for the presidency that what was needed badly was a tax cut. But what is one of the first things that establishment GOP types approach the White House with? Yeah, a tax increase. The ever popular tax on “thin air”. Literally. Pyle is right.  Still … here they are pushing another new tax.
And yes, imagine a tax increase driving “job growth”?  You know, while trucking companies up their freight rates and airline tickets skyrocket, etc.  Yeah … job growth.
Like the left, there’s a group on the right that doesn’t seem to understand why Donald Trump, and not some establishment GOP type, is in the White House.
There is no reason nor support for this stupid tax.  None.
Conrad Black points out something which elites on both sides don’t yet seem to understand.  Trump can’t lose the “immigration pause/travel ban” argument:
The President should not have referred to Judge Robart as a “so-called judge,” but the whole business is a frame-up. The Democrats must have had in the back of their minds the hope that Mr. Trump would impetuously ignore Judge Robart’s order, as President Jackson famously invited Chief Justice Marshall to try to enforce a decision of his Supreme Court.
This would have enabled them to start already on the line they are bursting with impatience to raise — that this was grounds for impeachment. This too would be nonsense, but it would help them to ratchet up the righteous obstruction and start agitating for the complete immobilization of this unconstitutional billionaire megalomaniac who was assaulting constitutional propriety.
Instead, Mr. Trump has been more compliant than necessary, and gone through the charade of appealing to the notoriously flaky and leftist Ninth Circuit in San Francisco, and will probably have to go on to the Supreme Court, which could entangle this issue with the nomination of Judge Neil Gorsuch to fill the vacancy on that court.
Mr. Trump will get the political credit for trying to safeguard the country whether he is sustained or not, but can be almost a bystander between the raving Democrats and a serious Court when the issue arrives at one.
He’s complying for a good reason … he knows he has the support of most of America and that the obstructionism that the Democrats and the left are engaging in are on the wrong side of history at this moment.  And imagine, heaven forbid, that a terrorist attack occurs in the US in the near future and the perpetrator is a “refugee”. I mean, this is bad enough.
In North Dakota, attempts are being made to clean up the huge mess the North Dakota pipeline protesters made before the spring thaw and flooding.  “Eco-warriors” at their best:
Clean-up crews are racing to clear acres of debris at the largest Dakota Access protest camp before the spring thaw turns the snowy, trash-covered plains into an environmental disaster area.
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers announced Friday that the camp, located on federal land, would be closed Feb. 22 in order to “prevent injuries and significant environmental damage in the likely event of flooding in this area” at the mouth of the Cannonball River in North Dakota.
“Without proper remediation, debris, trash, and untreated waste will wash into the Cannonball River and Lake Oahe,” the Corps said in its statement.
Of course the rallying cry was “clean water” and the protest was supposedly to protect the drinking supply for the tribe coming out of the Cannonball river.  Well done, protesters.  Well done.
“South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott read the hate mail he has received for supporting President Trump’s attorney general nominee Jeff Sessions on the Senate floor Wednesday evening. . . . ‘If you sign up to be a black conservative, the chances are very high you will be attacked,’ the South Carolina Republican stated. ‘It comes with the territory, and I’ve had it for 20 years, two decades, but my friends and my staff, they’re not used to the level of animus that comes in from the liberal left that suggests that I somehow are not helpful to the cause of liberal America and therefore I am not helpful to black America.”
This will come as no surprise to many of us who have watched the left over many decades.  However for the newer folks who’ve never heard some of the things they’ll say to a man just because of the color of his skin and the party to which he belongs, take a moment and watch the video at the link.  Yes, the left should be ashamed.  But as I’ve pointed out previously, there’s no shaming the shameless, especially shameless hypocrites.
Finally, is the White House considering designating the Muslim Brotherhood a terrorist organization?  The NYT says it is.  And it’s all about … Breitbart!
Sebastian Gorka and Katharine Gorka, two Breitbart contributors who have long warned of Muslim extremists in the United States, also joined the new administration. Mr. Gorka is a deputy national security assistant, while Ms. Gorka is working at the Department of Homeland Security.
Frank Gaffney Jr., founder of the Center for Security Policy, who once asserted that Mr. Obama might secretly be a Muslim, urged Mr. Trump on Breitbart’s radio show last week to designate the Muslim Brotherhood as a terrorist organization. He has argued that the Brotherhood’s philosophy mirrors that of groups that are already on the list.
However, one must consider if a tiger can successfully shed it’s stripes and become something else. More times than not, a tiger remains a tiger no matter how one changes it’s appearance.  The Muslim Brotherhood claims to have renounced violence, but has it?  Or has it just formed front organizations to carry out the violence while it bankrolls them?
A similar review released by Britain in 2015 found that the Brotherhood “selectively used violence and sometimes terror in pursuit of their institutional goals,” and that it emphasized engagement in English but jihad in Arabic. Its leaders have defended Hamas’s attacks on Israel and justified attacks on American forces in Iraq and Afghanistan, the review said.
The UAE, Saudi Arabia and Egypt have all designated the Muslim Brotherhood a terrorist organization.  I don’t think you have to imagine what Israel considers it to be.  The diplomats who don’t stray too far from their fainting couches say it will “roil” relations in the Middle East.
Compared to what?  Let’s name the terrorists in our midst.  Let’s quit pretending they don’t exist.  And let’s further quit pretending that if they gain entry to this country by whatever means, they mean us and our culture no harm.

In each and every of these manufactured CRISIS!... Money. Power. Societal Control. was the answer. When your only tool is a hammer, every Crisis looks like a nail.
